Founder and President
Gretchen, the driving force behind La Lieff Wines, champions female empowerment in the wine industry. She also founded Davey's Voice against animal abuse and serves as Vice President of the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network, reflecting her commitment to animal and nature conservation. La Lieff stands out in California’s Central Coast, a region with a high concentration of women winemakers, as a fully woman-owned and operated company, covering all aspects from vineyard management to winemaking, symbolized by Gaia on their label.
Kris Curran †
Winemaker
Superstar winemaker and early champion of Santa Barbara County, Kris Curran was an amazing woman and was voted as one of Wine Spectator’s Top Winemakers. She brought life to our wines and we will be forever grateful for her superb contributions.
Lauren Rava
Winemaker
Lauren is the owner of Rava Wines and specializes in sparkling wines crafted in the time-honored, méthode champenoise style! Lauren’s focus on the tradition of this unique style of sparkling wine is so inspiring, and we are elated to have her on our La Lieff team, crafting our incredible 2021 Sparkling Grenache Rosé.
Sally Sigouin
Winemaker
Sally has been crafting Award Winning Wines along the California Central Coast for more than two decades. Her artistry is specialized around Rhône Varietals, particularly Grenache and Syrah. She and her husband Mikael are owners of Kaena wines, with tasting rooms in Buellton and Los Olivos. Sally is creating our 2021 Syrah, 2021 Grenache, 2021 Grenache Reserve, and 2021 Grenache Valkerie Blends.
